Pancakes & Financial Literacy
Pancakes and financial literacy?
They’re the perfect pairing and we think they will bef or you as well! On Thursday, June 19th, we’re gathering as a community at MacArthur Park from 9AM–Noon for our Financial Literacy Pancake Celebration, and behind every pancake is something deeper: a mission to start from zero, and build toward something greater.
Why “Start From Zero”?
Our new financial literacy program for 7th and 8th graders, along with their families, is built around one idea: we all start somewhere. Whether it’s your first savings account or your first time learning about budgeting, it is all about opportunity. That’s why every student who completes our course will receive $25 to open their very first savings account, a small step toward long-term financial freedom. What better day to celebrate taking this step, than Juneteenth?
While at the celebration, you will have the opportunity to get your questions answered and sign up to be on the wait list for our first class!
More than Pancakes
This breakfast is about more than just delicious food - it’s a kickoff. At the event, families can learn about the program, register for classes, and connect with others who believe in building generational wealth.. Your $5 donation directly supports this work.
For the Kids
We’ll have a jumpy, raffles, and fun activities to keep kids engaged!
Let’s flip the script - together.
